Feeling better now
Thank you everybody for being so supportive. I had a really rough couple of days for no good reason. Sometimes the depression just sinks in. I am out …
I am a recovered addict who has found the love of Jesus. I consider myself more spiritual than religious.

I began smoking heroin when I was 20 and eventually started shooting it. I had a devestating addiction that lasted around four years. I was also addicted to just about any drug that you could give me! I tried to get sober again and again in this process but was not successful until I fully dedicated myself to the program of Narcotics Anonymous.
I have not smoked a cigarette in about four months. I'm here to share some experience, strength and hope for those who are quitting and also to get support that I actually still need! I still get cravings every once in a while.
The disease of addiction quickly destroyed my life. I began drinking heavily when I was in my early teens and eventually moved onto harder drugs. Oblivion was my goal and I had no plans of stopping. Then there was divine intervention, when an unlikely chain of events led me to rehab. I didn't want to be sober, I hardly even wanted to live, but I learned how to surrender to the 12 step program and now life is EASY, HAPPY and FREE!
Cocaine was a problem too
Just as much as an addiction as anything else!
