About Me
I have been permanently disabled by a Doctor who operated on me, 2 yrs ago. I have permanent nerve damage, carpal tunnel, Type 2 Diabetes, and Fibromalgia! Have alot of health problems, but despite of it all, I am doing okay now. Been married for 3yrs now to my soul mate, my husband works off-shore and I am home by myself alot and would love to make some friends. I am 46yrs old, love riding our Harley and playing with my chihuahua!
Interests
Harley Davidsons, my 2 dogs! Going to the Library, being outdoors, shopping, my greenhouse, rock-n-roll music!

Thanx for checking in. I'm sorry to hear about your ailments and discomfort. God bless you for your attitude, and keep the faith. God has a plan for you; I'm sure. I am doing OK, thanx for asking. We've had some rough weeks recently as we have discussed divorce, but we're trying to work through the issues.

Close Fibromyalgia
I have had Fibromlgia 2 yrs now but was recently diagnosed with it about a week ago, would love to talk to others who are going through this too. I am a 46yr. old female.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Just started it about 1 week ago, but it seems to be helping along with my Neurontin that I take for my nerve damage.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- Works pretty well, but I hate the side effects of feeling tired all the time, along with my Fibromalgia, I just can't seem to get any energy.
Close Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel 2yrs.ago in both hands. Getting really bad. Going to another Neuro., next month, to possibly talk about surgery, but I don't know, don't think it will help me really,since my nerves are literally shot anyways, have permanent nerve damage throughout my whole body!

- Wrist Splint Working / Worked
- Hate to wear them, but it is the only thing that makes it stop hurting for awhile,hurts so bad at times, don't know what to do.
Open Alcoholism
Been an alcoholic for 30 yrs., only real reason that led me to have to stop was finding out I am a Diabetic,putting my health and life first, for once in my life

- Working, only have to take 1mg. a day.
- Dietary Modification Working / Worked
- This is a must to keep it under control- don't like it, but have to do it, or it will get worse.
Open Prescription Drug Abuse
I got hooked on Morphine,Valiums,Somas,Loratabs, all precribed by a Pain management Dr.I was so out of control and trying to numb my chronic pain that I had due to another Dr., causing me permaenent nerve damage! Was passing out for many hours at a time-my husband could not even wake me up- I would wake up eventually though. Have run off the road while driving 5 times. I don't know how I survived the first one without getting killed- I think it is only by the Grace of God- that I am still here.

- Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Working / Worked
- I quit cold turkey and it was the worst thing I had ever gone through in my life! Still go to NA today- cause it works and helps to be with other people who want to better their life- they are like family to me. I was severely sick for a month going through the withdrawels. I still crave them to this day and I hope with God's will that I won't ever go back to them- they are poison to your body and I know I am smarter than I was. I admit, I was powerless over my addiction.
