I read your update that theve increased your dose.Somatuline which Im on really helped more when the dose was increased so heres to there being light at the end of the tunnel things improve for you all my love JJx

Hi Sherry Just to let you know that I'm thinking of you and hope that, as awful as this stroke may be, it might be the way of getting to see an expert who can help you. I have know a couple of people who have had strokes, and luckily the effects have been relatively short lived and they've made a full recovery. Hopefully being young will speed up the healing and you will make a full recovery. I wish there was more I could do or say to make things better for you. Hugsxx Shelley

Close Acromegaly
I was diagnosed with Acromegaly in August of 2007 and just recently began treatment. I suffer from other conditions as well, some of which are connected to the Acromegaly.
Treatments
- Octreotide Somewhat Helpful
- Within ten days of taking the Octreotide injections I lost several pounds and two shoe sizes.At my one month check of levels I was in normal range. I did have several side effects from the shots though. After six weeks I had to have my galbladder removed and some of the side effects are still with me despite the injections being stopped until I am healed from surgery.
Close TMJ
I have a disease called acromegaly which is forcing my lower jaw to continue growing out and apart thus causing TMJ.
Open Celiac Disease
I have yet to be diagnosed with celiac disease but the doctor has removed gluten and wheat from my diet and the difference in my health issues is amazing

- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- Gluten Free Diet Working / Worked
