About Me
I am a nurse, but I lost my job about the time my symptoms became more obvious. Most of my experience is in OB. Right now, I'm waiting to feel like I am confident I will be able to work both safely and effectively. I have 2 daughters, ages 11 and 4. My oldest is a figure skater, so you can guess where my money goes. My fiance has MS but is in better shape than I am on most days lately.

You lnow anything neorlogical is hard to diagniose, hang in there they told me could be fibro. a vein problem well after a while i got worse it was m.s. all along- by that time i knew it anyway, dont think drs. like to commit themselves to many of them -r- getting sued, hope i helped-u- -n- someway HUGS redneck tickey

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
I haven't been diagnosed yet, but every doctor I talk to thinks my symptoms sound like MS and that it's just a matter of time before I get a diagnosis. Unfortunately, I'm stuck in limbo for the time being.
Treatments
- Symmetrel Too Soon to Tell
- Just got my prescription. We'll see what happens.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI have been dealing with depression for as long as I can remember. Sometimes it is pretty well controlled and other times it is bad enough that suicide seems logical. My depression gets bad enough that I received a medical discharge from the Army for severe depression.
Treatments
- Celexa Working / Worked
- First med I ever took for depression but I had to stop taking it at the end of my first trimester with my youngest. It wasn't working as well then and there was the whole safety in pregnancy thing to consider.
- Effexor Working / Worked
- This is what I'm on know. It works fairly well, but I hate the withdrawl symptoms I get when I forget to take it.
- Lexapro Somewhat Helpful
- It was ok but not real effective.
- Positive Thinking Not Working
- Isn't having happy thoughts counterintuitive to everything depression is? My depression is not one that is affected by having a good attitude.
- Prozac Somewhat Helpful
- Just made me feel blah. Fewer lows but also fewer highs. I felt like an emotionless zombie, but it was the only thing they would put me on while I was pregnant and nursing.
- Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
- I should probably get back into it.
- Support from Friends & Family Somewhat Helpful
- Not the most effective because most people don't understand that depression is very hard to control and that it is a real problem.
- Wellbutrin Not Working
- I was a crying mess the whole time I was on it.
Open Child Support & Custody
I am recently divorced from the father of my 4 year old. I also have an 11 year old from a previous relationship. I am moving out of state and my ex has just now decided to fight me on it. I'm afraid I'm going to lose the 4 year old. I don't know what I'll do if that happens.
