The past few weeks have been tuff getting my 8 year old to stop long enough to actually sleep. The doctor gave us some pills that help but he almost needs to be strapped into bed in order to slow down long enough to fall asleep? Anyone have advice on how to get him to fall asleep easier at night?

My 11 year old was the same way, she would be up till 3 or 4 A.M. and get up at 7A.M. Shas has been On Abiliffy for ove 2 years at bed time now and she has really changed. It is a really small amount only 5 mg. But every child is differant. My daughter was so bad she couldn't even sit still to eat her dinner it was as if she had fire ant in her pants. But with the combination of her abilify and her conserta during the day she is doing alot better. I didn't like to have to put her on any meds. But her school was even falling behind. Now she is doing so well in school and that is was what I was really worried about. Here at home I don't care except for her sleep, she has to have that. And a really good sedgual really helps to. And i have found that you really have to stick to it, if you change it, it is hard to get them back on it again and they are really tempramental until their body has adjusted back to it. So we really stick to my daughters. Right down to what time she takes her meds and goes to bed. I hope this helps. I wish you alot of luck!!
