Thyroid Update: The results Mood
Thursday, November 5, 2009
Received a letter today from Children's Hospital. The results for Marcus' thyroid tests show that his TSH level has improved and is now almost normal. His free T4 level is normal. The thyroid antibodies were not detected! They recommend that he have it tested again in about 6 months. If they are normal, he doesn't need any followup at Children's and can have his blood tested annually by our physician! Best news we've had in a long time! Thank you God! I also picked up, finally, some Ginko Biloba that I want to start Marcus on. I could not find the Curcumin so I still have to get that. What I need to know now is, what's the easiest method for getting the Ginko in him? I'm assuming I can open the capsules and sprinkle them in/on something. I have the 120 mg.

Very glad to hear good news about Marcus' tests' results. I have not been following closely, why is Ginko Biloba good for our kids?

    Debby,
It might be easier for you to see Page 9 under discussions on the message board. The subject is something like Ginko, what I noticed with Sam. Once again, our wonderful Katie had some info on it. She also has Sam on Curcumin and has seen great results with that too! I think I also googled Ginko and Down Syndrome and Curcumin and Down Syndrome and got some good articles to come up. I don't know if you've also checked out changingminds.com They list a protocol to use for our kids that also includes Prozac but I thought I'd start with the OTC supplements.
