I am now active with Leukemia/lymphoma society. We will be doing a walk in ere washington Sept 15 called light the night.. my mission is to find a cure for blood cancers.. in memory of my husband and many others who have to or have suffered.. AML is such a horrible disease.. and I wish it on noone.. it is so fast progressing.. and being in the medical field, i knew it wasnt good formt he begining, but i always kept a positive attitude for my husband..My thoughts and prayers are with you..

Hi..I saw your profile on jazzlvr66 's friends list. I just lost my husband to AML On Jan 12. I hope all is well with you.. CLL is somewhat different than AML. Slower progressing , and more treatable. Hugs to you..
I was diagnosed with CML on 2-2-07. I just finished chemo (hydroxyurea) and am on 400mg Gleevec. I am a bit anemic and will be starting weekly Procrit injections in a few days. Fatigue is my biggest issue, accompanied by numerous small aches & pains (muscles & joints, enlarged spleen). Fatigue during the day but trouble getting to sleep at night (it's 1:30 a.m.!). I've got an incredibly supportive wife who makes this pretty easy to face so far.
