Rejoined!
Hello to all who have MS.
I have rejoined for support, friendship and info on dealing with this danged ol disease! I continue to fight …
I was diagnosed with MS in 2004 and retired in 2005. My neurologist thinks that I may have had it since 1988, when I suddenly went blind and was in the hospital for 8 days. My vision came back after a couple of days, but I had severe pain from my head to my toes. I was thin and physically fit then, and have never been the same. I have had all kinds of health problems that were blamed on this or that, but were all probably MS. I had surgery last year for thyroid cancer, but am okay now. I am married to a school principal. I have a beautiful teenaged daughter who keeps me going! She plays several sports and just went to her first prom---that was a fun day for me too!!!

I am a Christian and go to a Lutheran church. I have a great church family and like to do church work that I can do from home. I have been involved in a crochet project for Warm Up America, crocheting tiny baby hats to save infants in 3rd world countries. I am looking for other projects like this that I can do at home and that help exercise my hands--perhaps hats for chemo patients. Suggestions would be appreciated. I also love to read. My favorite books are culinary murder mysteries! I have read all of Diane Mott Davidson's books and also Joanne Fluke. They are my favorites. My best little buddy is my dog Maggie, who is in the photo that I posted. She helps me get through each day since I stay home a lot. Animals are a great comfort.

Hi, I was diagnosed in 2004 and retired in 2005. I was in my 40's. But, Dr. thinks that I have had it since 1988.
To help me deal with my now "unknown" chronic illness that is making me even more depressed. I have been told since 2004 that I had Multiple Sclerosis, but my new neuroloist says that I don't have that and it could be depression...not buying that! I have been so very ill with neurological problems and had to retire in 2005.
