Hi there,
Thanks for writing back. I was at home with kid for years, but mine are 21 and 18 now, so I'm getting to do more with friends. Enjoy those years though! They fly by.
How was it for you to go back to work? That's a big change.

i hope the appt on wed goes well. whatever choice you make about the tysabri, may you make with ease. you will make the right choice whatever it is. i am actually looking forward to retiring, but i`m worried about how will overcome the boredoom. i have a couple of time consuming hobbies, but i`m still not sure. i`m glad that it`s becoming easier for you to manage you days. i new you could do it!! have a great day! love ya, dave

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSI was dx 10/2004. I've taken 2 years out of work (teaching) to improve my strength, balance and overall health. I handed in my letter of intent to return in Sept. 09. My Neurologist also sent a letter saying that I could return if I was given the following 12 accomadations. I was assigned to a 2nd grade. :).....
Treatments
- Avonex Working / Worked
- Used for 1 horrible year of flu-like side effects. Kept the MS from progressing. NO LONGER USING
- Copaxone Not Working
- used for 1 year had not side effects but MS progressed
- Occupational Therapy Working / Worked
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- stating again this late winter/spring
- Rebif Too Soon to Tell
- beginning shortly
- Ritalin Working / Worked
- Started taking it for more energy. It is going to be replacing the Provigil. Right now I am taking along with Provigil. Now I am taking it alone.+
- Solumedrol Somewhat Helpful
- Had 2 rounds. The first one worked, the 2nd didn't.
- Topamax Working / Worked
- I guess it is working???? I take 100 mg in the evening then fall asleep.
- Tysabri Working / Worked
- I had 23 infusions and then decided I was too scared to continiue so I stopped.
