I am 38 years old with a wonderful husband, a 9 year old son and a 7 year old daughter. I've been a teacher for 16 years. Dx in 2004 after many years of treating individual symptoms. It was finally all put together in 2004.

Oh my....I have never allowed Tyler to ride the bus...and I am very thankful that I haven't been forced to. Oh...my stomach just curled when you talked about Brett. I would probably go ahead and homeschool Tyler. It's something I want to do before he starts 7th grade...we shall see.

Support Groups
Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSI was dx 4 years ago. I've decided to take 2 years off of work so that I will have some time to try to get my strength and balance back to where it was. I have VERY FEW visable symptoms and I would like to keep it that way. ONE MORE YEAR OFF!!!!! I have gained a lot of strength and my overall health has improved since I have been off from work. Therefore neither my husband nor my neurologist want me to return to work for the next school/work year.
Treatments
- Ritalin Working / Worked
- Started taking it for more energy. It is going to be replacing the Provigil. Right now I am taking along with Provigil. Now I am taking it alone.+
- Solumedrol Somewhat Helpful
- Had 2 rounds. The first one worked, the 2nd didn't.
- Topamax Working / Worked
- I guess it is working???? I take 100 mg in the evening then fall asleep.
- Tysabri Working / Worked
- I have had 14 infusions and my last MRI showed that everything is stable, the way they like to see it.
