science tests...
on monday 5th october i got 11/25 in biology testnext time i would like hmmm lets say 14??
I wrote to the travel agent yesterday asking for times and dates for our trip to visit hubby's family in Croatia, which we do every year. We did this for 2 years, the first time 7 months, the second (last year), 5 months, and this, almost 3. The amount of time we go over there is dwindling down each year.
Just lots of things to get done before we leave, even though when we get there emergencies crop up with we just couldn't control or know about til they happened. Such as hubby's pension provider wanted paperwork which we didn't take with us... geeze... if we started taking paperwork we'd have to go by boat! So my daughter was in charge of all that, went thru the files, faxed it to us there, then we faxed it back, over and over... along with other emergencies like tax questions... something we do not want to deal with wherever we are *s*.
As they say, the worst sentence you'll ever want to hear is this:
WE'RE FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND WE'RE HERE TO HELP YOU. LOL!!
I've started making my list of things to bring. Cans and cans of ground coffee is #1. Although there is coffee there, we're spoiled and want our brew and even brought over two perk type pots to use.
Then there are other things that are hard to find over there... it's still a country being rebuilt after the war... so it's off to Penney's and Kohls, a little at a time to make sure we have it all...
a throw for the couch
tablecloths
clothes, sandals, visors, anything summer because it's HOT HOT HOT
in the summer
medicines
leashes for Molly, dog biscuits ... lots of them!
cameras
cords for the ipod
telephone book
money
x-rays and cat scans
dehumidifier bags... tons of those too!
RidX for the ceptic.. phew >> stinky stinky!
Splenda
passports
dental work has to be done (don't wanna have an ER visit overseas!),
Pay up all insurance polices for house, car, us
curlers, curling iron, head bands lol... my hair is still a mop!
makeup
sunscreen, sunglasses
housekeys
clothes for friends' grandkids
gifts for others that help us while we're gone
lots more, and of course paperwork for Molly. We have to really make sure her paperwork is 100% in order because the US is a stickler for this. Croatia is fine, they just let us walk thru. Coming home the Customs and Immigration always stop us to check it all out. I practically beg them to let us back, and tell them Molly really is an American citizenl lol!
So it's started... Lord give me energy!!!
love you all!

Oh I do hope you post about your trip when you get back. It sounds realy wonderful. My father is Croatian so that makes me 1/2. But my family didn't stay together, parents broke up when I was little and I didn't get to know the family or the tradditions. My dad was raised speaking the language but wouldn't teach us any of it. It is ashame because I found one of my cousins speak this fluently and she even makes trips over there. Have a fun time!
