I'm 17 years old and have a sister that is 27 and was addicted to Crack. She now has custody back of her 10 year old daughter and visitation with her 4 year old son. I was diagnosed with asthma in July, 2008 and a milk allergy in February , 2009. I also have a cousin that had CF but passed away on July 4th, 2009.

Thanks Kris. I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin. She was still so young. I haven't been able to take lung function tests for a long time due to blood clots and strictures (caused by fitting of ports). They've run at different levels, from nothing when I nearly lost my life 7 years ago to 17% 4 years ago. Then I got them back up to 50% a couple of years ago, before all these other problems. I have a feeling they are probably around 30%, going on how I feel. I suppose they will be measured in the assessment process. The consultant doesn't think I'll be accepted as the strain of my pseudomonas is very resistant, but it's worth a try. Take care xx
