Charlie Max Mood
Monday, January 12, 2009

My Charlie Max is almost one year old!  He is one busy dude.  He crawled at 8 months & walked at 10 months.  He did it all on his own because I never practiced or pushed him to walk.  I wanted my baby to stay a baby for as long as possible.  I have to admit I like that he crawled for only a short time before walking because it is much cleaner.  We have hard wood floors and 2 dogs on the main level of the house.  In the winter with the snow and muck it's tough to keep up with messes.

He's had 6 teeth for a couple of months now.  And the very best thing...on Jan 4 he started sleeping well at night.  Only one or two wake-ups instead of several.  Yipee!  I feel normal again.  Let me tell you, if you have a baby that sleeps well at night, you are SO LUCKY!  He was born Jan 31, 2008 and FINALLY slept well starting Jan 4, 2009.  Now that's a long, but totally worth it, year.

His bday party will be on Super Bowl Sunday so I guess I don't have to think too much about a theme.  I'm sure I will post a photo of the big celebration.  'Til then...

I was the same way with Aubrey about the crawling and the walking. I wanted her to say little. Others felt diff, not mamma. She was around the same age as Charlie with both things. The teeth though she got those for Christmas and only has 3 full ones in and 4 coming so she is in PAIN. so the sleeping only happens when she gets her Motrin at bed. Aubrey's party will be all PINK I am so sad that she will be 1. A toddler. I want that rewind button just for a day.

Wow, nearly 1 already. He sounds like a little champion that will be the master of many things in his life - a real go-getter! Can't wait to see his birthday party pics.
