My baby is 9 months old already! Mood
Saturday, November 8, 2008

Charlie is well into his 9th month and the changes keep coming.  He LOVES cars.  He points at every one he sees & pronounces the word so well.  He recognizes certain animals and makes some animal noises.  It is so much fun!  I imagine he will be walking someday soon.  Sometimes I miss the days when he would sit and play with his toys in one spot, but I understand that baby must grow up!  My only comlplaint is that he is a horrible sleeper at night.  He still wakes every 2-3 hours and needs mommy.  His pediatrician suggested a book which I am trying to find time to read.  "This to shall pass" is the jist of it.  It really is true.  Time flies but this tired mommy really could use a good night's sleep!

On a side note, hubby is doing well...2+ years in remission and counting!

CarrieAnn...just a little bit of advice on the sleep issue. Brayden never slept all night until he was over a yr and a half. It is draining I know, but one day it will happen and that's another milestone. Treasure all those nights when you are so loved and needed...they disappear ever so fast. Cathy rocked Brayden to sleep every night and for every nap. She always wondered how she would ever get him used to going to bed without being rocked. I told her...one day he won't want you to rock him. Sure enough, it happened and she cried for two days! Nothing lasts forever, so we need to really appreciate what we have. Those darlings are young for such a short time. The same with his bottle. People would say..."babies should give up the bottle by a year". Well not ALL babies are ready. Some need that security. Brayden had his ba ba until he was almost two, even though he used a cup very well from a young age. No more ba bas and that too seems a bit sad. Paci was another one...of course for some reason even though he could say paci very well, he preferred to call it Ta Ta. He only has it when he goes to bed now, and even then gets bored with it and tries to give it to Elmo! Such sweet memories. Hugs

Oh he is so cute. That smile is adorable. Aubrey is going to be 10 months here in another week and a 1/2 which does not seem possible. I have to tell you that I use that saying This to shall pass all the time and it gets me through the day. My mom always would tell me that. Good Luck with the sleeping,

I know what you mean about the lack of sleep. Every now and then I'll get a 4 hour stretch out of my little ones, it's like heaven. We shouldn't wish it away too fast tho, before we know it they will be defiant teen-agers who want to sleep the day away. I love the new pic. Charlie is sooooo cute AND so big too! He looks like he could just take off running already.

Charlie is sooo cute!! I can't believe how fast he is growing. You remind me to enjoy every moment because they pass so quickly. I am glad to hear your precious boy is doing so well!!! Take care!
