I am 37 have had HS since the age of 16. I work in the music business I do enjoy that very much. I am the only person in my family who has HS. I do love to golf though even when the pain is really bad I try to ignore it for golf, lol.

See another Dr. Today. It like the 25th one in ten years lol. Lets see if they have any different ideas.
I woke up with a new one today. In a very bad spot. Man this pain sucks! very bad day today.
I wish my Dr. knew anything about HS. She has no idea it is so frustrating.
today is the worst of the worse. I can barely manage the pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just wanted to drop a line and wish you good luck with your new meds! I hope all works out well for you!
Hey! The Clindamyacin is working pretty good. I'm taking Tumeric too. I tried out a "Anti-Friction Stick" used for shoe blisters on my thighs today and had no break outs. I was amazed. :) I hope everything is going better!! I haven't caught up on your journal quite yet. :)
This week has been awesome for me! It looks like you are doing well by the "Excellent" face! :) The Clindamyacin gel I'm using is stopping the HS from breaking out. 2 weeks and counting! Woohoo!
Thanks! It's so frustrating to deal with it in the public. It seems like you have to suffer quietly because people just think you are a wimp. I've been very fortunate because I only have it on my inner thighs, but that also makes it so difficult to walk sometime. :( Hang in there bud!
I think it's been a gradual thing since 2001 - it's weird, the first 'lump' was under my breast when I was in Africa - and I assumed it was an exotic insect bite! It's taken 6 years for the doctors to take me seriously and diagnose HS. Mine does seem pretty mild compared to others on here, but I've been getting bad flare-ups for the last year and, although I hate the fact that there is no cure - it's still good to know what I've got has a name and that I'm not alone! x
Hello, I have had HS since I was 16 and it seems to be getting worse. I have been to a million Doctors and nothing yet. I have even been to the Mayo Clinic here in Scottsdale, Az. I am now trying some natural methods I have read about and hoping they will work. I really would love to live just one day pain free.
I have had it for about 5 years now I am 36 years old.
I have had this for about 2 years now.
