Drama, drama, drama... it's all around me...
I bought a shirt that says "I see stupid people"... I wore it 3 times last week...
I have really missed my friends here. It's been hectic around here. Uncle (and family) came in from Maryland & stayed across the street from me, at my maw-maw's house. I helped Maw-maw cook and clean cuz most of the family came every day to visit, aka, eat, but none of the family likes to help Maw-maw cook or clean especially lazy aunt from Maryland (she drives me nuts)...
One day alone, we cooked 25 POUNDS of french fries and 45 pieces of fried chicken, not counting the extra packs of gizzards and livers... I did talk 2 aunts into peeling and cutting the potatoes...
Another day, I cooked enough meat to fill 2 BIG pits... (3 chickens, 12 pounds of chicken legs, 5 pounds of breast, and about 10 pounds of pork) I bar-b-qued for almost 4 hours... Paw-paw had the stomach flu so I made him go in the house... NOone else even offered to help bar-b-que... Everyone ate, though... We ran out of beans and potato salad, but we didn't run out of meat... One of the stupid cousins said that Maw-maw didn't have enough room in her fridge, so she would take the meat home and she wouldn't have to cook the next couple days. I told her that I lived across the street and the left-overs would fit perfect in my fridge... I spent 4 hours of MY time cooking while she sat on her butt talkin to some stupid cousins... OH, and I bought the freakin meat... My aunt chipped in on some of it, but this stupid cousin didn't buy nothing, she just came to eat... Stupid cousin...
I met a friend of mine at Walmart & I was fussing cuz of all the idiots that came to visit. He said, 'quit feeding them & they will quit coming'... Maw-maw wouldn't go for the idea, but I thought it was the best idea ever...
I helped Maw-maw clean her house (you know the super clean that everyone wants when company comes over) the week before Uncle Bubba came in. Uncle Bubba was in town for 9 days, then it took almost another week to put things back the way they were supposed to be. I really felt good about myself helping Maw-maw. I even took off work to help her... It makes me so mad cuz Maw-maw does everything for everybody, but when it comes down to Maw-maw needing help with something, nobody comes around... Stupid people...
We (me & some cool cousins) gave Maw-maw & Paw-paw a 60th anniversary party on the 5th. Their anniversary was actually July 30th, but we wanted to wait for Uncle Bubba (only son to grandparents) to come to town to have the party... Paw-paw had the stomach flu and missed his own party, but Maw-maw had a GREAT time... There must have been 200 or more people that came to her party. I was so happy that so many of Maw-maw's friends came, and so many drove for hours and hours to come to her party.
My cousins (cool cousins) have a band and they played for hours... My cousin's daughter, 15, 3 months younger than Cortney, sang several songs, one song she wrote herself. Cortney sang a couple songs with her. Cortney sings REALLY, REALLY GOOD... Allen does, too, for that matter... I still can't believe my kids can sing when I can't sing a tune to save my life. Cortney and Allen danced together alot... They dance really well, too... I also, can't dance... Everyone took turns dancing with Maw-maw... I haven't seen Maw-maw that happy in a long time. I love that woman.
A friend of mine told me that she seen the idiot with another woman and the woman didn't look like anyone I was kin too... I really thought it was funny how she put it... I guess the idiot ran out of my family members that put out... STUPID MAN!!!
Went to doctor again, last week, and took some more X-rays of my foot that I broke in May... Foot is not healing and she put me in a foot/ankle stabilizer that I have to wear all the time. If this don't work, they might have to put a rod in the bone... I'm taking 4000 mg of Calcium to help it heal... I sure hope it works. Stupid foot!!!
Sorry long journal, just a lot happened since I last talked to ya... Again, I really missed ya...

Man, you cook alot of grub!! I almost never have visitors here particular ones for whom I need to cook... Good thing as my legz would just give out on me along with my budget... LOL

I agree with your friend, if you cook it - they will come. Kinda like locusts.
So glad you were able to throw such a wonderful party! I'm sure your Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw appreciated it.
And sweetie - come out to LA and I'll teach you how to dance. I can't sing either (my kids can, take after my side of the family - only thing stbx's can do is dumpster dive) but after a few well placed beverages and we'll be singing up a storm! I'll even teach you something in Spanish, a - Kiss My Ass - song.
Take care of the foot, no kicking stupid cousins away from the meat. You might miss and hit the fridge!!

Hey CJ so good to read that you are smiling. Boy I just wonder if your relatives and mine are related. My mother used to do all the cooking and when it came to cleaning, they disappeared like the morning mist. I agree with that person. Just stop feeding them so much and they will disappear. Keep smiling my friend and keep off that stupid foot. Why do you not sell it and buy another one if it will not smarten up.

I am so glad you are back. I missed you. Wow you have been running crazy these past weeks. I hope you get to rest some. Damn woman you were doing all of this with a broken foot. Hell you deserve some type of award. It is wonderful that you did all this for your grandma. You get it, you really do, this is what so much of life is about, making someone else you love happy. CJ, while it's wonderful to know that you are so giving of your time, effort and love, when it comes to "over doing" -- remember: People will only take advantage of you IF you let them!
Next time the obnoxious relatives come for a free meal, assign tasks to them and let it be known that "You no help -- You no eat!"

LMAO Seriously, tell your lazy ass relatives to get up off their lard butts and pitch in! Did it ever occur to them to bring along a dish of some sort? Or are they just freeloaders? Now as for stbx...give him a bottle of Woolite to swig and cut him loose in a sheep pen! LOL Oh! Love the saying on your T-shirt, can you get that printed on a hat? Take care of that foot! Ummmm that means you may just have to stay OFF of it ya know!
