Bryan's MRI report... Mood
Saturday, August 22, 2009 | A General Update story

From that wreck, Bryan has 3 bulging disc...  2 in his low back & one in his mid...

16 years old with 3 buldging disc...

I just knew that wreck messed his back up...  He's been having too much pain...  Bryan is not one to cry out in pain.

All because stupid sister was driving like a bat outta hell to pick up my idiot X at work, she was mad at our dad for not giving her MORE money when he had just given her $100.oo to buy her some clothes (which she DID NOT need)...

STUPID B*TCH!!!

Sorry to hear Bryan is in so much pain. He does not deserve that... hope you are handling it alright.. I know it must be hard. I am missing my older son this weekend!

When that happened to my dad the only exercise that gave him relief and had him back up on his feet sooner was swimming!! Is there a pool near your place or a lake he can swim in? Just doing laps will really stretch him out and help the swelling go down. It won't jar him like any other exercise and it's really good for the body!

That really sucks! I know what pain that is I saw both my parents go through it. Poor kid... Your sister is giving me the desire to come down there and beat her senseless... but then again she's already senseless. I wish there was something you could do to put her in her place and get her OUT of your life!!

HUGS!! Keep smiling... it's good to see :)

Neverending with that little bit**, isn't it??? Back issues at 16? Wait until he's an old man--then he'll really have issues unless he takes good care, gets some physical therapy or a good massotherapist (or both)... I would not wish back issues on anyone! I used to have terrible problems with my lower back, and then a massotherapist HEALED ME (and I really believe she healed me and many others... Then she got Hep C and it killed her--she took on too many other illnesses...).

You have my permission to kill Lil Sis's butt from HERE TO CHINA!!!

I used to believe in chiropractors... that was $30,000.00 ago.
I also had 2 neck surgeries, and I have worse pain than I did when I first got hurt, minus the pain going into my arm...
Now, I got the pain that goes into my leg, but that's from my low back, not my neck.

WOW! Poor kid! I guess I am a baby cuz I let people know when I am in pain, which is much of the time. Anyway, I have several herniated discs in my cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. It really sucks a ton. Doesn't help with my tension either! Anyway, I hope that you are able to find a way to relieve his pain that doesn't involve major drugs or surgeries. I highly recommend getting him into a good Physical Therapy program. They can teach him some exercises to strengthen his abdominal and back muscles to help keep the discs in better alignment. It really does help as I have done it in the past. But, it's not something you can just do once and expect to be pain-free for the rest of your life. It's a life-long battle, but it can be managed.

The one crazy thing that helped me (when I had my injury) was sleeping in a hammock. Not the woven type, but the patio type. Instead of a hospital bed I wanted that thing brought into the house. We couldn't fit it in but I would have gladly knocked out a wall to do it.
