is feeling Good
I write as a newspaper reporter and work part-time in our family's furniture store. I'm married to a great guy, James, and have a daughter Lorrie Anne, 23, who is finishing her doctorate at law school, University of Texas at Austin. I also have a son, Logan, 18. James' son, Daniel, (we share, so gramma me, too) is 22 and has a son, Brayden. I grew up showing Quarter Horses, hated school although I got straight A's with not much effort, and have a Mom and Dad still married to eachother. My youngest brother is the same age as my Lorrie Anne, and I also have a sis, and another brother--I'm oldest. Let's see, I'm a cool person, love people, love to talk and have a hungry mind. I enjoy nature, gardening, writing, reading, and strive to just keep on keepin' on. I found DS while searching for support for depression and anxiety/panic disorder. I have fibromyalgia.
MMmmmm, other interests that I haven't mentioned are collecting books, collecting miniatures ( I have hundreds, and shadow boxes, curios, etc. to display them. ) I love antiques--wanna go to the Antiques Roadshow. And flea markets, antique stores--they're a blast to go to. I like theatre, that sort of thing, and the arts, as well, although I live in a small, rural area and don't have much of that available. I have been a caregiver, love that, and enjoy helping and caring for those in need. I think I'd make a great Psychiatrist, but as of yet haven't stuck with school enough to get even my Associate's degree. Life isn't over, though!

I maintained an 80 pound weight loss, happily and healthily a size 4, for over five years. Then, I began to gain weight, even though I wasn't eating ALOT more calories. I became severely depressed (spent about a year not really functioning--bed, couch, and eat, eat, eat.) To make a long story shorter, late in November I was found to have an extremely low thyroid-alarmingly so. I've been on medication for four months, feel SO much better, bu have 65 pounds and am so miserable. Out of shape.
I have had quite a ride with my thyroid. Before diagnosis, it caused severe depression, social withdrawl and lots of weight gain. I began treatment in late November; we're still trying to regulate.
I have such a heart for all that have lost anyone to death. I cannot imagine going on without my child.it so sad that so many in their 40s have lost their mates. I want to be a friend, pray for those in such pain.Jesus lives, and wants to carry you and your pain, that's all that might help for how long...? I lost my beloved Granny four years ago-it's spring,we had a fine crop of foals and flowers by now. I grew up in her hip pocket. I still hurt very much.
I have nearly no hearing ability in my left ear...I remember being treated for a sinus infection, but it never cleared in that ear. Now it's deaf, but I still HEAR ringing, "the ocean rushing sound," and beeeeeeep...constantly.
I have battled depression off and on throughout my life, but for the past couple years or so, it is very bad.
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1994, after I hit two deer and severely injured my body. The diagnosis of "post-trauma Fibromyalgia" was made two years later; I struggle with hypothyroidism as well, depression and anxiety.
