About Me
I was diagnosed with (SLE)Lupus in 1990 and diagnosed with APS in 1991. It has been scary for me because I think about my children and want them to have a normal life as much as possible. I had brain surgery in 2005 due to a Subdurmal Hematoma. That was just the most scariest thing I have gone thru in my life. I go thru depressions but try and lift my spirits up by laughing and having fun with my kids.

Interests
My interest are watching movies and reading mystery books. I also love playing with my kids and watching them enjoy life. Man, I wish I had as much energy as my kids. If we could only bottle that energy up and give it to some Lupus patients, that would be the ultimate medicine. Ha!

Close Antiphospholipid Syndrome
I diagnosed with APS in 1991 when I was 21 years old. The way I found out was I developed a deep vein thrombosis in my right leg and was too young for that too happen.
Treatments
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- Taking 5 mg/day. Get checked every 2 weeks. INR is stable at 2.1.
Close Lupus

Treatments
- Plaquenil Somewhat Helpful
- 400mg per day. Gives me lots of stomach upset and it seems like its helping.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- 3 days of 500mg of Prednisone in May to shock my body. My Sedrate before was 125 for about 5 years but after the shock its down to 7. Down to 10mg per day.
- Methotrexate Too Soon to Tell
- Very tired and nausea but it seems like its helping.
- Paxil Working / Worked
- 30 mg/day. This has helped me with anxiety and depression.
- Clarinex Working / Worked
- 10 mg/day. This helps with hives from lupus.
- Procardia XL Working / Worked
- 30 mg/day. Taking for Raynaud's Syndrome.
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- 5 mg/day. Taking for Antiphosphilipid Syndrome.
- Iron Working / Worked
- 65 mg/2 day. Takine for Anemia. 500 mg/2 day. Take due to prednisone.
- Aciphex Working / Worked
- Taking aciphex for stomach problems and Folic Acid because of the methotrexate.
