We spent most of the afternoon there yesterday getting the tour.  Sara's best friend Jean came with us, who is also homeschooled and will be graduating this year.  She only came to support Sara, but liked what she saw so much, they are now talking about going together, and are both very excited!  Jean is into computers and wants to take that course.  Of course it didn't hurt that if she takes the course, she will be surrounded by a whole class of eligible guys, ( 3 girls and 16 guys in the class).  Sara is going to do the CNA course, and then maybe Medical Assistant or Physician's Assistant.  Everyone of the instructors we met was so kind and enthusiastic about his or her discipline and the love for the kids shone through.   I didn't realize it, but there are kids there from as far away as New York and all states in betwen, so that means many different cultures are reprsented--hispanic, black, and white.  And if the actual FREE training for a good job were not enough incentive, there is almost every cocirricular event imaginable for the kids to be a part of.  Sara is into music (she sings and plays guitar), while Jean is an artist.  And both exist at Job Corp.  The kids are all encouraged to use and share whatever talents they have with others.  It's going to be a wonderful place for the girls to grow and experience many wonderful things.  How can I be sad?  But, I am.  My heart bleeds at the loss, a slow and painful death.  But, it must be.
