Close Prescription Drug Abuse
I have been addicted to "something or another" since I was about 13 yrs old. I had a 6 year addiction to vicodin and finally got myself clean and sober all by myself. But, last summer ('06) I shattered my left foot and was put on vicodin for months. Now I'm trying again to break this addiction, go through the physical and mental withdrawls again, and I could use some support.
Treatments
- Suboxone Working / Worked
- When I did use this, I wanted off, and it only took 1 day dose of suboxone and my withdrawls were over!! I had weaned myself down to 1-2 pills a day, but by myself couldn't get beyond that without the suboxone. even though the Dr gave me a week's worth, I only needed one day of suboxone and I was off opiates for over a year!!! HIGLY RECOMMEND if you REALLY want "off the ride" and get your life back!!
Close Back Pain
Treatments
- Chiropractic Adjustment Working / Worked
- Works well, but it's not permanent so I go every week.
- Flexeril Somewhat Helpful
- Helps a little.
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- Helps a little, but not for the osteo-arthritis in my crooked neck.
Open Osteoporosis
I have Osteo-arthrtis in my neck and Osteoporosis. I was diagnoed when I was 38 (I'm 39 now). I'm trying to research the best I can.
Treatments
Open Arthritis
I am 39 yrs old and have been diagnosed with Osteo-arthrtis in my neck and my bone density test didn't come out very good. I also have rheumatoid arthritis. The pain is unbearable, and I am taking Subxutex for pain management. After taking over 30 vicodin's a day, I still had excruciating pain.
Treatments
- Glucosamine/Chondroitin Too Soon to Tell
- I take Caltrate but I don't know if it too early to tell, as I have no had another bone-density test done yet.
- Ibuprofen Not Working
- Pain does not subside at all.
- Pain Management Clinic Somewhat Helpful
- I'm still in pain, but am off the vicodin's and now on Subutex.
- Tylenol Not Working
- It just doesn't even touch the pain!
- Heat Working / Worked
- By heating up a craft made fennel seed bag (like a bean bag the size of a loaf of bread, with a touch of water and applying it to my knees, neck, back and joints in general, it really does help!
- Mobic Working / Worked
- Just started on it 2 days ago, but it's not doing a thing!
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- My chiropractor suggested this for the arthitis pain, and I have a Dr. appt in 2 days.
