Scattered & Battered Mood
Saturday, December 20, 2008 | A General Update story

Hidey Ho!  I'm still around, I just seem to have too many profiles on the Internet these days and can't keep up with all of them.   You know how it is when you find something new and it is all fun and exciting, but then that wears off so....

Well anyway, I thought it was time to check in here again, sorry for the lapse.  I've been productive since my last entry and have managed to get over my huff, only to face another one.  AHHH!  I allow it to happen so shut the heck up JoAnn!  lol  No worries though this latest "huff" will be quick to go, cuz I SAY SO!

Winter is proving to be just as brutal this season as it was last.  I'm getting quite adept at using a snowblower and a shovel.  This last snowstorm was quite the blast and my biggest complaint is, the snow doesn't pack.  The weatherman said we got a heavy, wet snow that is good for packing so I was all inspired to go outside and build a snowman, even though I had a driveway full of snow, my snowman was first on the list (priorities dontcha' know!)  but OH NO!  The snow didn't pack, not at all and so... on with the show I had to go.  Husband made it home just as I was finishing the gravel drive so I let him finish up and do the blacktop. (means a shovel and a lot less blow!)

I'm pretty much set for Christmas now and just have a few presents to wrap.  I like wrapping presents with pretty paper and bows so today I will finish up with that.  We have not put up a Christmas tree for several years now but this year we decided to start a new tradition.  We bought a live tree and left it outside where I decorated it with beads and bows and white lights.  Come this Spring we will plant it in the ground where it will live and thrive for more days than I will be alive.  I like our new tradition a lot.  No stressing with moving furniture and such, no needles on the floor, no fire hazard, no killing, about the same amount of cash as a dead tree and environmentally friendly.

My health is kind of ick as of late.  Digestive woes and all that crap.  Fatigue is my constant companion and my body aches every freakin' day no matter if I play or lay.  I just ache.  Things could be worse so I'm not complaining but may very well whine. lol

Not much else new in JoAnn Land.  Think I will go back to bed now though.  Not sure why I keep waking up so damn early these days.  Until...

BE WELL.

This brings back so much memeories when I was living in CT, all the snow and nowhere we can go. Lol. That new christmas tree tradition sounds really awesome. Wish we could do something like that. Enjoy this holiday season! (((hugs)))
