Tears of JOY! Tears of PRIDE! Tears of HOPE! YES WE CAN! YES WE DID! YES WE WILL!
America has spoken and the majority share my JOY and PRIDE! For those who's candidate lost the election, I feel your pain. 4 years ago I was devestated to learn BUSH was going to do another 4 years, but we survived and so will you. Last election I was not Pro-Kerry though but rather Anti-Bush. Barack Obama however is a man that I stand BEHIND and I AM PROUD to say I worked hard for, donated money to and volunteered my time and energy to help get him elected. It mattered. I AM truly passionate about Barack Obama and his promise of Change and commitment to the people of the USA.
I WEEP WITH JOY & PRIDE!

JoAnn, I hope that your man, Obama, lives up to your expectations, for the sake of our country. I truly do. Not all Christians have faith based on fear and judgement, Darlin'... My faith is based on the saving grace of the knowledge that Jesus Christ died for me & my sins, and that because I've accepted Him as my Savior, I am saved and don't have to live with fear or the fear of judgement. I am saved by His grace. The Holy Spirit has given me a gift of discernment, and with that gift, I feel that America has made a huge mistake. But God sees the overall picture, and I put my trust in the Lord. This may just be a sign of the times, that the end of life here on earth as we know it is quickly coming. Noone knows the day in which the Lord will return except for God the Father... All I have to do is keep my trust in Him... which I do.
I love our country, and I will support Obama, although I doubt I'll ever trust him. I will support him by virtue of the fact that he will be our President. For the sake of our country, I hope he does well, and stays centerist... But with his pick for Chief of Staff, doesn't look that way. Oy...
If you know nothing else about President Bush, just remember that he and his policies have kept our country from having another terrorist attack these past 7 years... The world knows what he'll do, and I'm afraid that they're waiting for new blood in the White House... God save us all...
I am happy for you, that the election went the way you wanted. It must be so gratifying to have worked so hard for an election / candidate, and then to have a win! I am so proud of you, JoAnn for giving it your all, and standing up for what you believe in.
