Greetings from the Barack Obama campaign trail! I have been working A LOT on the Obama cause these days and it's about the only thing that comes out of my mouth is politics these days. This is soooo not typical of me and this is the first election I ever got involved in. I really feel that my involvement matters and that it is appreciated, especially since WI is a swing state with 10 electoral votes. I even got a few peeps that thanked me for volunteering today when I knocked on their doors. Made me feel GOOD! Thanks. 
I spent about 6 hours today knocking on doors for Obama and I walked the entire time. I should have chosen more appropriate shoes but I didn't plan to be out for that long. Oh well. Tomorrow I AM going out knocking on doors again, this time in a notoriously Republican town a few miles North of my home. I bought several Obama signs and donated them to the cause and hope to be able to find homes for them tomorrow.
Oh and now for the MOST EXCITING NEWS! Barack Obama is going to BE in Madison, WI next week Thursday so... you know where I will BE!

I hope to catch a glimpse of Senator Obama and with any luck, convince him to give me a piggy back ride. wheeeeeeee
We had the sweetest, little, old lady come into HQ today for Obama gear. She went on and on about how in love she was with Barack and stated she has NEVER, EVER cared about politics until she laid her eyes on Barack Obama. It was instant love for her then! She was so funny and just kept talking about how handsome and elegant Barack is and how she would take him home in an instant. What makes this whole thing particularly funny is, she was saying all of this with her husband right there. He didn't seem to mind though and even stuck an Obama Bumper sticker on his BEautiful Cadillac! Now that is DEDICATION!
Tomorrow morning Colin Powell will BE announcing who he is backing for President. The rumor mill has it that he is going to BE backing Barack Obama. Oh MY! Wouldn't that just BE the Best if that happens? Even the Chicago Tribune has backed Barack Obama now and they have NEVER, EVER backed a Democratic candidate before. Things that make you go hmmm....
OK then, time to take some Ibuprofen, make some tea and prepare to watch SNL. Palin is going to BE on the show tonight and even though I really cannot stand that woman, I still want to see her appearance on SNL. SNL has been doing a phenomenal job this year spoofing the election and Tina Fey could not BE more SPECTACULAR and so spot on with her Palin impersenation. GO TINA!

A link to the opening skit on SNL featuring Tina Fey, Governor Palin, and other fun guests. This was a really good skit and actually did not paint a good picture for Palin. Kudos to Palin for agreeing to do this though, that was very BRAVE though I have to admit, you do look a bit perturbed Governor Palin! heheheh

I don't believe there has been this much passion stirred up for a candidate since JFK. Looks like your guy will win. I will be so supportive to whom ever gets this job for the next four years. Oh BTW, it is me under the hat, see my red hair peeking out. Luv & Kisses to my first friend on DS! Ree
