I shared the following post below on the Obama for President 08 Group ( http://dailystrength.org/groups/obama-for-president ) and thought to leave it here as well.  I have been volunteering my time, money and energy to the Obama cause after vowing to get more involved after the last election.  I said what I meant and I meant what I said.   Once Barack Obama is elected that will BE all the thanks I need. =)  (BEing obnoxious does have it's perks!)

I have many reasons for supporting Barack Obama for President.  One of my biggest concerns is Health Care and I truly believe in Obama's concern for this issue as well.  He feels like I do, that Health Care is a RIGHT of every US citizen, not a taxable responsibility like McCain.  I trust that Senator Obama is going to take the Health Care issue seriously and make the changes our country NEEDS.  He has a clear cut plan on how this is going to be paid for on his website.

I also believe Obama has small town values and ideals and knows how to talk to people.  He is REAL and has done his time on the streets.  His presence in the White House will speak loudly and clearly to other nations that we are READY FOR CHANGE and I believe this will help ease tensions with other countries.  In case you don't know it, Americans are not very well liked.  The Bush Doctrine has only made this dislike for America worse and McCain is more of the same.  NOT WORKING!  We need CHANGE!  The Last election inspired a very popular website and I suspect it will be active again if McCain/Palin win.  We owe the World one Better than More of the Same.

I also believe Barack Obama has a real determination to pull our troops out of Iraq and focus the attention where it should have been to begin with, killing Osama Bin Laden.  President Bush promised to find and kill him but then he got distracted with finishing his Daddy's war and here we are.   I do not want a President that sings Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb IRAQ and has well documented anger issues!  

I also was impressed with Senator Obama's answer during one of the debates about the order of importance he would put the issues in front of him.  It is clear to me that Senator Obama has a clear plan and a determination to make our country Energy Independent within 10 years.  John McCain said he was going to take on everything all at once and fix it all because he's the Maverick!  This is vain, vague and unrealistic.  Senator Obama did not say HE was going to fix all of it, he said WE were.  WE as a NATION!  TOGETHER!

I love the thought of that!

I have many more reasons but that is enough for now.
