    About Me

    Hi everyone! Glad to be here on DS. Your support means much. I have severe chemical sensitivities, also known as environmental intolerances, or environmental illness. I also have a more-than-twenty year history of chronic fatigue syndrome, which waxes and wanes. I am certain the two disorders are different manifestations of the same underlying problem, probably in genetic damage to the detoxification and/or nervous system. I have a thirty year history of occupational exposures to multiple hazardous chemicals, including pesticides, solvents, inks, darkroom chemicals, detergents, laminating chemicals, stain, and water-proofing solutions, foams, building materials, and adhesives, etc.

    Interests

    Retired from the newspaper and furniture industries due to illness. I am now a gardener and putter-around-er. Knitting and crafts are other occasional hobbies. I like to hike when I'm up to it. I enjoy attending football games at my son and daughter's school, Northeastern University in Boston.
