I am 29 years old and was diagnosed with NF1 when I was about 8 or 9 months old. I am at least 5th generation on my mom\'s side to have NF1 I have a more severe form of NF1. I had an optic glioma which contributed to the complete loss of vision in my left eye, and cause some cranial facial deformities to the left side of my face as well. this is why i try not to show the left side of my face in photos

Surgery went well

surgery went well not too much pain.. most i took was 3 ibuprophen didn't take my vicoden at all... I did get to go home …

surgery went well its been just over 2 weeks now. im in no pain which is great! still a lot of swelling but that will go down with time.

hello, i have a 25 year old son who lost his leg to nf. sorry about your health problems. i have nf1 mine was a mutation. we have had more problems with doctors along the course of many years it is not funny at all. if you want a buddy my son would love to chat with you. there is an NF chat room. use firefox and type nfchat room and just keep trying it is hard and the room can be a bit stubborn. hugs cora
