Journal Entry for April 5, 2008
I can't keep up with a notebook journal, I'm not sure why I thought I would do any better on the computer!
Trystin enjoyed his first …
I am a working mom of 6 - two grown & gone, and 4 still at home. One of those at home is biologically a grandson, but he's my son in every other sense of the word. I am a tax preparer by profession, so my winters are busy and my summers are lazy. (Well, not tooo lazy!) I am very happily married to my perfect mate - and am convinced that God brought us together!

I like to crochet, read & garden, but spend so much time running Trystin (the youngest) from one appointment to the next that I don't have much time to indulge. I do make time to ride my bike (outside, weather permitting, inside on yucky days). It's about the only exercise I get any more!

Today is Trystin's third birthday - and he started school full time. We are incredibly lucky to have a wonderful school in our county for …
Hugs and blessings to you!
i love that last statement. Sometimes i wish I he didn't have so much confidence in me! Bless you!
the school hasn't diagnosed him, Aspergers is more developmental appropriate with social delay - and is really outside the Autism Spectrum - Tyler is ASD/OCD - and is to be evaluated again next year - i had the school do his evlauation and I only wish I would've done it sooner as intervention is the key - learning about the developmental delay, sensory issues, and other things really helps, learning about the different ways to learn, no verbal process, Tyler only started talking a year ago - i changed his diet, he's gluetin free, caesin free and yeast free, caffiene free and sugar free - everything thing productive in his life has ocurred in the past year after i learned the diagnosis and started doing research and trying different things - i do have him on a waiting list at Texas Children's Hospital to obtain a medical diagnosis for the purpose of obtaining medicaid - Tyler is in the Spectrum, but is probably more classic autism - with high functioning ability. you should see how limited my world is - and it's all about structured chaos - lol. I am so sorry for your struggles. I pray that things get better with Tristan soon.
is he autistic?
thank you for your kind words - aah I only bumps of emotions now and then, other than that I stay pretty focused. He wiill be 7 in December - still not potty trained, but oh well.
i am a firm believer that God only gives "special" children to special people -
Your words are very encouraging - big hugs to you adn those you love adn care for too! Peace!
Husband & I have been married 20 years, have 5 children of "our" own - 26, 24, 17, 16 & 14. Have full custody of the 26 y/o's son who is now 3. We have had him since the day he came home from the hospital. He has several special needs, but he is the joy of everyone's life - always happy & giggling. Even the teens just dote on him!
