  Hello! Just thought I'd say hi. I haven't "seen" you for a while. I don't really go into RESOLVE so miss out on any updates there - I am on Dailystrength most days - and on F/B fairly regularly too. I guess it's not long til your baby joins you! - any news?? Would love to hear! x

  Hi there, I have a friend who is dealing with secondary infertility and now has decided to give up on IVF since her RE has told her she has a low chance of conceiving. She is now thinking about adoption but does not know where to start. Any advice? I know this is a HUGE question, but a direction would be super helpful. Thanks!

  Thanks!! I will of course be thrilled if it's one, but twins would be SO awesome!!! I can't wait to find out!! I'm a mixed-up combination of excited, stunned and utterly exhausted!! Steve is here . . . he's now a normal weight and almost healthy. Apparently he will forever be a carrier for a respiratory disease and will have periodic flare-ups. We had a really hard time getting rid of his congestion. But the latest round of meds seemed to have done the trick. Seems he's with us to stay . . . but I have kept his contact with my other cat to a minimum and so far so good . . . she is still healthy (she's 14 years old so I absolutely don't want her getting sick - she won't bounce back so easily!). Any news on your timeline? When do you expect to hear something?

  On one hand, we know quite a bit . . . and then on the other it seems pretty limited at times . . . I guess you just make lots of assumptions based on the info you do have. We know medical history and weight, height, eye and hair color, complexion, medical info about her immediate and extended family . . . her education and career info . . . the forms themselves were informative . . . kind of like having a writing sample . . . . This is her first time as a donor so she is not proven . . . but has her own children so they were optimistic about her. There's more detail about her toward the end of a very long journal entry on 8/11 if you are interested.

  Just thinking of you Nancy. I have finally arrrived to a place of peace after SIF! Am now 3/4 of the way through the domestic adoption process in NZ too! Hope all is good your end. x
