Man's True Lifespan Mood
Sunday, June 21, 2009 | An Educational story

There is a belief that we only have 80 years on this earth.  This is due to multiple references to Psalm 90:10 in which it implies our lifespan is no more than 80 years.  But, this is a continuation of the previous verses noting the sinful (sin only means opposite of that which is correct) lifestyle Man had adapted (face it, a lot of us don't do what we need to be healthy).  In verses 8 and 9 it is written, "Thou hast set our iniquities (bad habits)  before thee, our secret sins (unforgiveness, worry, bitterness, addictions, etc.) in the light of thy countenance, (GOD is looking at us) for all our days are passed away in the wrath (being constantly at odds with the truth).  We spend our years as a tale that is told".  Verse 10 goes on to say, "The days of our years are threescore years and ten (70) and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years (80); yet is their strength labor and sorrow (we end up sick, depressed, and worn out), for it is soon cut off and we fly away".  This was written based on Man's observations.

However, in Genesis 6:3, it is written, "And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with Man, for that he also is flesh, yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years".  Yet we see that immediately after this statement that Noah, who "found grace in the eyes of the Lord" (Genesis 6:8) was 500 years old when he had his three sons (which happened to be triplets, since Noah was only married to one woman and all three were born at the same time, sans complications, guess the medical society doesn't know everything).  Furthermore, Terah, Abraham's father, was 205 years old when he died.  It is not shown that Terah walked with GOD, so the 120 years seems to be for all of Man.

To this day people are still living longer than the aforementioned 80 years and some even far longer (not in poor health either, as demonstrated by the great, great, great, grandmother doing competitive freestyle waterskiing, she had totally mind-blowing moves by the way), which, for some reason, people consider a miracle.  With this evidence, doesn't this verify that our minimum lifespan is the 120 years as GOD stated?
