Healthy New Year To Everyone
I apologize for not updating everyone on what's been happening. I read your postings and that's about it. I really am tired talking about my health …
Turned 56 on November 8th. Lifetime of health problems. Started at 27 years old in October, 1980 when I underwent an emergency intestinal surgery, which led to eight hospital stays from 1980-1983 with three intestinal surgeries, bowel obstructions, and a one foot scar. In 1991, hospitalized for internal bleed, followed by four more intestinal surgeries, between Sept. 1994-July, 1996. Was in ICU for four days in May, 1995 for Gangrene. Operated on one foot scar twice in five days. Developed 24/7 chronic pain soon after September 1994 surgery. Started in ears, went to jaw, then neck. Since that time, was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1997 after seeing numerous doctors. Pain is debilitating in face, ears, and neck. Numbness in head, arms, hands, and legs. Since Nov. 2006, have undergone an epidural, facet, trigeminal, and trigger point injections with absolutely no relief. Now I've been told in late October, 2008 that my left TMJ joint is inflamed. Was told to take Ibuprofen to reduce the swelling. Can't take any aspirin-like products because of internal bleed. Using heat on face hasn't helped. Was told to see a myofacial surgeon. Am tired of all this. Don't have a clue what to do next. Celebrated my 56th Birthday all alone. No one close to. Parents are gone. My Dog died in 2004. No friends, relatives, nieces, nephews, and a sister living on West Coast who I've never been close with. Graduated in Dec. 1976 with BA Degree in Mass Communications from UW-Milwaukee. Worked for Ice Capades in late 1980's as a Marketing Director. Have been published in USA Today and Newsweek on the subject of Chronic pain.
