Well today I went to the store for the first time in over a month.  Being on bed rest really put my routines and my household out of whack so it was time to not only re-stock...but stock up in preparation for Jackson's arrival.  Along wtih that was the "labor/delivery bag" shopping for travel toiletries, maxi's, etc.   I gotta say, I got a little misty-eye'd cause it's starting to really sink in how CLOSE we are.  We still to take our baby care basics class....but otherwise, we are really close to 100% ready.  All the clothes I have are washed and put away, diapers organized, nursery prepped, etc.  We still need a few things....but nothing major and now here I am prepping my kitchn and myself for the hospital and post-delivery phase of things.

My official due date is only 3wks and 2 days away....and if Jackson makes it to 38 weeks...that's just like 8 days away.

Our very first Father's Day ever was this past Sunday and I was SO THRILLED that hubby liked my gift.  He's been playing flight simulator games for a long while now and has mentioned in passing several times that he'd like to get his pilot's license.  So....being the dutiful wife I am....I researched it and it's not terribly expensive.  I purchase a one hour intro discovery flight for him and packaged up the gift certificate with a little bear dressed as an aviator along with a baseball cap that says "High Flying Dad" on it.  There were a few other little things too like a book and little wing pins etc...but overall the main thing was that certificate. 

HE WAS THRILLED.  I'm trying to get him to take advantage of it soon....kind of a last hoorah before the baby arrives....but he's too afraid he'll be up there and I'll go into labor!  hahahah

I just can't believe how real this is all becoming.  in 3 weeks or less....i'll have my baby boy in my arms....THREE WEEKS OR LESS!?!?!?!?
