Sarcoid, Fibro and Sjogrens....oh my! Mood
Wednesday, March 19, 2008

In 2000 I was a traveling, hard working , perfectionist living in California. I was having pain and fatigue all the time but all the doctors told me it was menopause and too much work. I was given hormones and told to take a vacation. So I did. Went to New Mexico for a week and could not breath the entire trip. My friends were going and going and I was sleeping most of each day. Upon my return I went to other doctors. They thought I had a virus. Antibiotics for 2 months and still not better. Another issue was a bad sinus infection. Nothing worked so I opted to have sinus surgery. In preperation for the operation I had a chest X-ray. yikes!!!!! Spots on my lungs were diagnosed as TB but the test was negative. I was told it would go away so I had the surgery. My nose improved but not my breathing. Fast forward to 2003. After much pain, stress and agony I opted for a lung biopsy. Woke up with tubes everywhere. They were looking for cancer. Thank God it was not. They did find the Sarcoidosis. Sarco what? Who can have a disease you can't pronounce. Fast forward to 2005. I could no longer work and I was sick as a dog. So I moved home to rest in Michigan. As soon as I got here my parents started to need help. So here I am. It is 2008 and I now have Fibromyalgia and Sjogrens Syndrome to add to my list. I don't get out much because I am sensitive to most smells and they bother me. Yet I feel blessed to be alive. Life can be so challanging. I have decided to start a new outlook and try to be happy....again.
