Diagnosed with Fibro in 2000 and Sarcoidosis in 2003. Both are bad but the Fibro is more active now. Caretaker for my elderly parents in Michigan. I am from Calif and retired because of my illness. Love to cook and read. Single and not married. Love to travel but do not do much now.

I'am sorry to hear to have these other medical problems additional to sarcoid. My worst pain now and has been is this inflammatary pain on the backside of my legs. Although these symptoms of arthritis mainly in my legs is a close second. If yes indeed I have Fibromyalgia that is in third with a sometimes this pain from this Scolisis (mispelled?) of my spine tied for third. Oh enough of this stuff I guess.
For me, I prefer the winter months than the summer months. A few years ago on another website that is specifically just about Sarcoidosis and not say cancer, it was pointed out that the colder weather suppresses the inflammatary process in the body. Less inflammation, then less pain. If you sprained your ankle, the doctor very well say put an icepack or a bag of frozen vegetables on the sprain. This reduces the swelling and then less pain is there. So for me, if I want less of this inflammatary pain I should welcome the colder weather. Spring, & Fall are just neutral for pain relieve or increased pain.
If you are interested, bring your family sometime over to this Wyoming Library to chat if you wish. Supposely though something like this should be done in one of the conference rooms.

BUNKIE, You request to be a friend to you. Sure, that's okay with me. I've been away from computer use for maybe up to 2 weeks now. I've been looking up things today here at the library and I'am already almost out of time for today. I looked up your "bio" and all that stated is that you live in Michigan. Close Sarcoidosis
I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis after a lung biopsy in 2003. I had been sick for a year before that. I have it in my lungs, sinus, eyes and joints. I moved from Ca to MI to care for my elderly parents and the weather change made me sicker. I am currently on 4mgs of Prednisone and can't get off. I am allergic to Plaquinil. I have not started Methotrexate.
Treatments
- Hydroxychloroquine Working / Worked
- Prednisone works but I have bad side affects. I am tapering down. Plaquinil made me sick as a dog.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
Open Dizziness & Vertigo
I developed Vertigo last year after being on a low dose of Prednisone for Sarcoidosis. I have been flipped and done exercises for a year. I have had a brain MRI and will be getting another next week.I am at my wits end. They keep telling me it will go away. It does not.I am still on a low dose of steroids for my disease. I hope to come off of it next year before it destroys my bones. Valium upsets my stomach. Benedryl will work sometimes but usually not. Bunkie
