ok so i had my endo appt on tues and he said that everything is still the same, so new bloods and scan for the start of next year. which is good …

diagnosed with acromegaly nearly 3 years ago, not doing so bad now , i have my up and down moments like everyone else. fighting depression, have two lovely children and a husband who tries his best in everything. since seeing my medium i am finding myself again, i have become a spiritual person and i have the poem footprints in the sand close by to help me through my very low points. no im not religious just spiritual (there is a big difference) would like to make new friends who see me as me not my appearance. so far lost 2 stone with the new meds from which i started last year.

Hi...LOL oh the puddles you remembered the photos I once had up oh so funny..Shes what keeps me going...Im sorry to hear about your earache...had one once oh boy is that painful I tried a few things dont laugh but in the end because I was working and in pain I used deep heat not inside ear just at the edge and downside of neck that worked..Im usually around on here because FB is not for me so let me know of next meeting if you hear with three jobs Im behind on paperwork...Get better soon ok all my love JJ

I have not figured out how to access - send a hug???? & I have not spent alot of time on line yet - so will get in the swing of things soon! I also belong to the Prolactinoma Group - and linked up with a member and she only lives 5 miles from me and is under the care of my favorite neuorsurgeon!....small world.
About me: Took 5 years to get diagnosed - messed around with medications for a couple of years before finding the best Endo in Houston. Within months of seeing him I had surgery in Jan of '86 - it was successful and I only have to take replacements for thyroid and depression! What a deal after what I went thru prior to diagnosis! I have had some post surgery - disease health issues - but I understand the source and stay on a regular check-ups - Staying aware of my body signals has kept me most active and looking forward to many fun years with my grandchildren! I promise to start my journal as mine is an interesting experience - journey that you may find therein solace and encouragement!

diagnosed with acromegaly 2years ago now,went half tablet a week to 2 whole tablets a week,a brain scan and plenty of 4 hour blood tests.tablets did the job a little but didnt bring my levels right down so now im going on somatuline autogel once a month.my IGF1 For my age it should be between 13.0-64.0 when i was diagnosed it was 124.0 the lowest they got it to was 71.1 nearly there but my last blood was 81.3 so it elevated a bit.now 45.1 which is on the normal scale and im so happy

- still trying to find the right dosage but now i am on the maximum for this. the doctors have now given up on this and want to try something else. i have had no side affects with this drug.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) Depressionbeen in and out of depression for 7 years,now on medication again as im finding life a little difficult.did take something back then but i cant remember what they were... got out of it after 3 months. had my first child 4 years ago and got postnatal depressin(baby blues) which i refused to believe i had for a year. since then i have been in and out of depression. although these bouts dont last long its still horrible to feel like apsaulute crap!
