So tired and sick Mood
Friday, January 9, 2009 | A Frustrating story
Another year is here and I am still in libo as to whether I will ever be normal again.
Now I am living everyday in pain with muscle stiffness weakness and fatigue.
My eye sight is blurry I have been getting dizzy often. I cannot do anything with out leg and back pain. I wake up in pain and count the hours until the day is through and I can sleep again. I do not have any pain medication prescribed. I am prescribed anatypolin (sp?) for pain. The doctor said its a good medicine even if it just makes me sleepy at least I can sleep..so I take that at bedtime.
I have been told this is prednisone withdrawl symptomes. But they dont get any better and I have been on this dosage for at least a month. Should my body have gotten used to 10 mg by now?
I will be on this dosage until all allergy and asthma symptoms are gone!!
I am getting really concerned. It has been almost a year and a half on predisone now. Everyone says I need to get off but my body doesnt want to let go off it.
And I am trying to diet and walk off all this weight ..right I can walk for maybe ten minutes and I am in intense pain. So what do I do?
I guess this is as good as it gets huh?
Sorry to be whinning but I cant stand this any longer. I have a rhuematologist now. She took a ton of xrays and 14 tubes of blood to see if there is anything else going wrong because the other doctor said Cushings doesnt cause pain!
This is no way to live...and yet Social security and my insurance company still think I can resume my career as a restaurant manger.
Well I got that all off my chest
Thanks for reading I pray everyones day went better than mine.
Luv and prayers
Kimmy

    Hi Kimmie,

I am so sorry that you are in so much pain all the time. My heart goes out to you. I can only begin to imagine what you are going through. I will pray that God will comfort you and give you strength to get through this time of your life... and that it will a short time! And please whine as much as you need to. We are here to listen and to help each other as much as we can.

    Take care,
    Michelle

    Hi Kimmie.
I struggled for 2 years, couldn't walk and breathe, while dr's told me all I had was allergies, in hosp emergency 3 times, they said was asthma. Got so sick lost over 50 #'s, insurance wouldn't pay, but found way to go to Nat'l Jewish Hosp. in Denver, CO, where I was diagnosed with incurable lung disease. At same time they suspected my immune system had been attacking me, so have been on 40 mgs of Prednisone since 7/11/09. At least I can walk and breathe, but body feels jerky inside and have high anxiety 24/7. Am worried about other possible side effects; but really afraid of what happens when they wean you off high doses after reading your info. Am back in Fla. where I live, and the doctors here have not been all that accessible or helpful; I have to worry and push office staff for referrals for testng and such, adding to stress. Hang in there and be assertive, that's the only way to get the services you need and deserve, especially through social services. Go on line and look up the entitlement rules for Medicaid and push them. Wishing you all the best luck ... and also seek 2nd oppinions. The first two years of my illness I went to sooo many dr's that just wanted to give me allergy injections, refused, and good thing ... they would have killed me, not allergy problem. I'll keep you in my prayers.
