Hi. I'm 39, divorced. I used to be a school teacher & hapilly maried, but lost all that. Now I'm a care-worker with the elderly & infirm. Ive been around AA for 10yrs, did 2yrs sober (2005-7), starting again now after a relapse. I also have manic-depresion, which slightly complicates things. Ive a dog and a home of my own. I drive legally now and am far less likely to kill someone (probly me). I quite like me & my kife now, just a bit lonely & dissillusioned

Close Bipolar Disorder
had winter depressions since late teens.1st maia in 87, survived it. Big mania in 96, wife almost left, lost job, psychosis for 3months! 5months depression, then 98another High, this time wife left, lost job, drank loads.Diagnosed & medicated. Quite well 'til marriage disolved 2004, went manic & got sectioned. On release, went depressed & tried suicide 3 times, sectioned agen. Bin out a yr. now dont drink, AA & do my meds. Life's livable

Close Alcoholism
began drinkin at 20, drank heavilly from 27. By 34 had becom psychotic & was sectioned, 2yrs later it happened agen. A few yrs later wife left, lost job, tied suicide (quite dificult). now im doing the program and going to meatings
