About Me
i am a 48 year old mother of 2 beautiful girls.one is still in high school, the other is grown and has given me 2 wonderful grandbabies.i am a survivor of cancer...vocal cord cancer to be more specific.2 days before i turned 48 i had my voice box removed and am now a 'neck-breather.'i smoked for 31 years, a pack a day.i knew i shouldnt...i even tried half heartedly to quit a couple times, but it was just so much easier to keep smoking.well;let me tell you that i wish i knew then what i know now...but that is life...living and learning..sometimes the hard way!

Type: Stenosis (pulmonary or aortic) / Atresiai am a 48 year old mom of 2 girls: .i was diagnosed with cancer of the false vocal cord almost 2 years ago...and in all the testing that they do to make sure that you are ok to have surgeryand radiation,well they discovered my bad heart valve.I had always known that i had a "heart murmer" but until i went to the MAYO clinic,i never knew it was serious...so i am having open-heart surgery very soon(as soon as my dental issues are resolved)
