About Me
Well, I finally reached the big 3-0. I guess it's not all that bad. I gave birth to my baby girl 8/30/08. I am now the mother to 3 amazing kids. My son is almost 14 and has Asperger's Syndrome, my older daughter is 9, and the little one is 2 months today (10/30). Being the best mom that I can is what I live for and I'm loving every minute of it! I believe that every thing happens for a reason and what doesn't kill us makes us that much stronger. My husband and I have been together for 12 1/2 yrs. married for 4. Our relationship has had a lot of ups and downs yet, we somehow manage to keep it together.

My son is 13 yrs. old and was just diagnosed in June 2007 with Asperger's Syndrome. We are still on a waiting list for a neuropsych. eval. to get more answers. He has had an IEP since pre-k, couldn't speak clearly until he was about 5-51/2. Although I questioned the school and Pediatrician about his odd behaviors, breakdowns, delayed speech, and learning disabilities, I was often brushed off and told he would grow out of them or that they didn't think there was any underlying cause.
Close Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
I was just recently diagnosed with PTSD. I started having a really tough time dealing with any kind of stress. After suffering from a TIA(mini-stroke) due to what they think was a complicated migraine which seemed to be brought on by stress, my son's family worker(he was recently diagnosed with AS) suggested I see a therapist for my abusive childhood.

- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- just being able to talk to someone that had no personal opinion on my experiences seemed to help. I recently had to stop going due to transportation issues. That was very upsetting for me.
