    • About Me

I am a mother, teacher, and writer. My daughter was born with one kidney June 06. Our son was born on September 2, 2008. He 'surfed' out seconds after my bag of water broke. I'm enjoying his beautiful head of redish blonde hair. He's nursing wonderfully and I'm looking forward to seeing him grow.

    • Close Breastfeeding

My daughter nursed for 22 mths. For her 4th to 14th month I proudly pumped 2-4 times daily. I cut out dairy for 7 mths for her. (I can't even imagine switching formulas all the time) My son was nursed exclusively for 5 months & am currently pumping 2-4 times a day while working. I had to cut out citrus, caffeine, and chocolate this time due to his reflux. He hasn't had an episode since. So many people commented 'Oh, You're _still_ pumping? I proudly said "Of course, she's still eating."
