Close Thyroid Cancer
Type: Follicular CarcinomaWhen my menstrual cycle went all haywire I went in to see my dr. He felt my throat and said my thyroid was enlarged. Over the next few months I felt it grow. When I finally got insurance I had a lumpectomy. A week later, after the pathology report came back I had the rest of my thyroid removed. I have been on synthroid ever since. The cancer had started to infiltrate my neck tissue. RAI erradicated what was left. I don't regret having it done.
