    • About Me

I have been sick for years and never really gotten to the bottom of it. As time has gone by, I have become sicker in that I have added more and more illnesses and symptoms to the list. For the past year and a half I have had some disturbing symptoms - including: growing in height, enlargement of my skull, feet, tongue and hands... so I am now waiting to see an Endocrinologist to get test done for a suspected pituitary problem. I do bits and bobs of money earning - am currently developing a website dealing with cosmetic hair replacement and increasing self-esteem when you have lost your hair. I am also doing some puppy sitting for a friend.

      Hey Vicky,
Your roller coaster ride seems to be heading down right now, but soon it will start to ascend again. It's so frustrating when you don't have a good relationship with a doctor - I've been there too - but keep asking questions and don't be intimidated. Meanwhile, love your doggies and go for your walks. I think of you and send hugs, love, and good wishes.

    • Little Love

      From CLErical1 Friday

Hi hunni. It's been ages since I've gotten on here able to actually do much other than stare at the screen and try to take in the words. I read and replied to your journal. So sorry you are having such a rough, horrible time. ((hugs)) I do hope you get some answers and conclusions soon. Hope your mood and health steadies soon.

Doesn't really help how awful the weather is at the mo does it? It affects my moods alot.

I'm feeling pretty crappy still. The furbabies are doing well. Poppy still has a bit of a cough, but is healthy otherwise as far as we know, apart from the murmour in her heart. Fizz and Betty are cheerful as ever!

Love you hun. Take good care of yourself. xxxxxxx

Vic you did better than me 'cos I cried at my appt. That's when she diagnosed depression! It's quite windy but not as bad as last week when we had trees and fences down. I think we are due to get the worst of it tomorrow.

Always here just to natter if you wish.

Just watched the children in need concert on bbc. Loved it.

Take care and sleep well. xxxxx

      Treatments

Dianette - helped with acne, but in the long term caused side effects of bad mood swings, suicidal thoughts etc.
      Vitex Working / Worked
    • Open Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Diagnosed in 1991 Fatigue, muscle and bone pain, lack of concentration, memory problems, bowel problems etc etc!!

      Reiki Working / Worked
Like Reflexology this is not a cure, but has helped me cope with pain and other issues. You have to keep the treatments up.
    • Open Androgenic Alopecia

I have been suffering from AGA since I was about 19 years old. I believe it to be a result of the PCOS I suffer from. I have worn wigs, but I currently wear headscarves outside and to work.

    • Open Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

      Treatments

      Acidophilus Somewhat Helpful
      Aloe Vera Somewhat Helpful
      Chamomile Somewhat Helpful
      High Fiber Diet Not Working
      Peppermint Somewhat Helpful
      Probiotics Working / Worked

    • Open Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

OCD centred around checking - e.g. locked doors, train tickets, money, wallet, keys to the point where it controlled my life and caused me incredible anxiety. I also have a compulsion to check my skin/pores and sometimes pick at it with a needle!

      Treatments

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
I am continually working on this, as I was put on Cipramil, but decided to come off it as I hate taking drugs. I have found challenging my thoughts, behaviours and reprogramming my brain to be the thing which has allowed me to live a fairly normal life.
    • Open Anxiety

I go through phases of really struggling with anxiety. I get terrible anxiety attacks that cause me to wake from sleep. I find it hard to enter new situations or do new things because I get so anxious. I find it makes me quite anti-social and sometimes reclusive.

      Treatments

      Meditation Somewhat Helpful
      Positive Thinking Somewhat Helpful
