Overwhelmed Mood
Saturday, October 11, 2008 | A General Update story
Sorry I've been so slow at writing in this journal but lately I've been overwhelmed with both good and bad things that have been going on. So now I'm going to vent on them. I'll start with the bad. I already knew I was going to have an ultrasound about which I was nervous enough, but just found out yesterday it's going to be transvaginal, which sounds scary (just because I haven't been through one and I just read a journal entry by someone who'd had one and found the experience disagreeable.) Now for the reason for this test--some weeks ago I was packing to move when I fell and landed on my right foot and ankle. Because there was barely any pain, nor was there any bruising, I thought it was no big deal. A few days later I was trying on shoes to decide what to take with the move, and some were tight on my right foot. I thought I'd outgrown them. Then a couple of days after I moved, I started putting on my cute pair of yellow cotton clogs, which have always fit me well, they were too tight on my right foot. Fortunately I had a doctor's appointment that Friday--and since they were worried about a blood clot, I had to have that possibility checked out right away. That turned out to be negative. An x-ray I had was OK. So at my next dr.'s appointment the transvaginal was scheduled. Now for the move itself--I like the new place much better than the old. Also, the other day I finally got my recycled computer, but that will take a while to set up, so for now I'm still in the library. What I'm worried about is once the computer's up and running my unemployment benefits will run out, which means all I'll be getting will be food stamps. (The good thing about where I live now is they charge 1/3 of your income--which means if you don't have any, they won't kick you out.)

Well, I am concerned to hear about your health issue.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
    Please keep us informed.

This is great about your new place. Super good news.
I am glad that it is an income based rental.
    Sure will help out.
Keep going forward on that Social Security thing.
Remember, a lawyer will take a percentage of back pay, but they usually work on contingency.
One day at a time, one day at a time.
