started around 2AM when I was lying in bed after having awakened and didn't feel like going to sleep. I wanted to read instead. So I got up and for about an hour read Fiona McIntosh's Myrren's Gift. About an hour later, my eyes feeling tired even though the rest of me wasn't, I went back to bed. And I slept and had an interesting dream.
Then I awoke around 6:30 and thought today would be a good day to go to the public aid office and take one of their Link card classes, which I have to do sometime this month. So I dressed, made the bed, and did all the other stuff I do to get ready. Then I decided that wasn't where I wanted to go today. Now I was ready an hour too early to take my regukar bus to the library, which opens at 9.
So, since I've a gift card from there with a substantial balance, I decided to go to SuperWalmart. At first the trip was uneventful--then I became engrossed in the $5.00 DVD bin. I found 5 including 2 X-men movies. After that I went through the electronic department's check-out--which wasn't easy because the system rejected my gift card a couple of times before accepting it--and started making my way out of the store.
But then on the way out I see something that looks good--white grape flavored Crystal Light drink mix--so I have to go through another check-out on the way out. While paying, I realize that I've left my cane somewhere! All I knew was it had been in the store because I still remembered having it with me while walking to the store.
So I start wandering the store like a chicken with my head cut off. I first checked the ladies' room because that had been my first stop, and the nearby lost and found. Negative. Then I go to the electronics dept.--first looking around the $5 DVD box--but then, I finally find the cane by the dept.'s check-out. Woo Hoo! I'll bet I must have been the fastest oerson people at that store have seen, who was carrying a cane. All of this happened before 9:30 AM CDT. So far, the rest of the day has been pretty good.......

I'm glad you found your cane. I know the panic that comes over me when I have mis-placed mine.
