Thursday there was both bad news and good news. Recently one of my friends on this site, who I had told that my microwave had "died" sometime ago, said she was going to order me one from Walmart. When I got home Thursday afternoon it was on my front porch. So I unwrapped it, put it on the counter where the old one had been, set the clock, and put a frozen dinner in it. According to the instructions cooking is as simple as entering the time you want, then if you want 100% power, pressing Start. Nothing happened--the light didn't even come on. I'm just not looking forward to returning it, because it has to be returned with the original packaging, and except for the box which is still on my dishwasher, the packing material is in the garbage and I imagine is rather funky by now. I just hope Walmart isn't strict about that sort of thing.

No they are not! No worries. It should be a very easy return. That is a bummer!!!!
