A year ago I hadn't yet changed to nebivolol as a beta blocker. It seemed to make a big difference in the fatigue side effect when I started it. Lately though I seem to be napping much more during the day. I'm not sure if the addition of digoxin is causing that, or I'm sleeping worse than before, or I'm just depressed. The first nap of the day is usually right after I finish eating breakfast, as though I hadn't quite finished my quota of sleep for the night. Physical therapy was a bust a year ago, for my back. Now I've turned to using a muscle relaxant on bad days - Flexeril. That combined with a decent night's sleep usually restores order. Went to a naturopath this month and had a thorough discussion. The focus was the rash on my knee, and she suggested some natural remedies to try rather than the scary systemic antifungal prescribed by the AMA doc. Also need to redo my whole dietary plan. It's really hard to get all the proper nutrition from only 1200 calories/day, which is what I have to stick to to lose weight. I'm still 8 pounds away from my goal. Plus I need to get back to a better exercise regimen. I've gotten sloppy about both diet and exercise lately. As for the Afib, this morning BP is 89/58 and heart rate is 81. Gosh, doesn't it seem likely that a BP that low would bring a level of tiredness? There's a new drug out for Afib (Multaq). First one in 36 years. But of course it mentions side effects. I'm pretty sure it won't be applicable to me, but my 6-month checkup is next month so I'll ask. In July we had a sure enough heat wave in Portland - temps in the 90s and up for over a week. So glad that's over.
