Keep up the good work.....I am still doing great ....no A Fib for about 10 months...Old Norm
1 ray of sunchine is worth a thousand hugs! Hope you are having a sunshine filled day!
Good to Hear from you Andrea,
Even though I still get annoyed with my A/fib I am trying to be positive.
I hope you are well................Kevin
Hi Andrea,
You really are having a bad time but you will come through, I personally did not like the effects of Digoxin and the bad reports I had read about the side effects so about 2 years ago I just stopped it my self and informed my Cardio !
I am still in Perm A/fib and all I am taking is 50mg Atenolol night and morning alomg with my cilazapril / Warfarin ( I have no bad side effects of Warfarin) I am also taking Lipitor .
I still have my up's and downs particularly if my heart gets a bit fast in the evenings after dinner and there have been times when I have taken an extra 50mg Atenolol before retiring.
Unfortuntaly these Cardios are at a bit of a loss with Drugs (As I see it) because they appear to be limited in their selection and a lot of research still needs to be done with Anti Arrithmic drugs and their side effects .
Just take one step at a time Andrea and shop around for a good sympathetic and caring Cardio or EP.
Please take care ......Kevin
I was just diagnosed on a routine check-up but I think an allergic reaction to an antibiotic kicked it off. Still pretty scared. Seeing cardiologist 3/25/08.
I've had a sore lower back since I was in my 20's and seen doctors and physical therapists many times over the years. Back surgery was mentioned early on, but when I read about it I vowed to avoid it all costs. Mostly I've learned to live with it. But recently after a diagnosis of atrial fibrillation it got worse again. An orthpedist took x-rays yesterday and said "slipped disc" but I have an MRI scheduled tomorrow to be more sure exactly what's going on.
Was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation March 2008. Have done well adjusting but recently have fallen into depression. Just feel detached and disinterested in life. Affected by the season too.
Close family member struggling with this illness.
Just diagnosed. One spot of it below my right knee. Kind of freaked out about whether to expect it to get a lot worse or not. Starting treatment next Tuesday.
