I have been retired for almost two years and have been researching the internet for a little house in SW Florida. I want something in a retirement community for 55 and older. We have had a rough winter this year. I have not gone out too much and am totally bored. I need a challenge. Working and commuting were challenging and so glad I do not have to do that anymore No regrets whatsoever.
I saw a nice mobile home where you own the land and a coop share that is quite reasonable in Ft. Myers, Florida. Its nice from all the pictures I have seen. Though pictures can be deceiving. I made an offer, but before I sign anything, going to see it on Wednesday with Cuz Kathy. We rented a house in the Park where the Pink House is located.
I must say, I would only be able to commute as a snowbird for a limited amount of time maybe two years at the most. Then I would have to move to Florida for good. Every thing is so expensive now in New York. I could always stay with my family in the summer and they can stay with me in the winter.
I hope my plans work out. If I do not like it I will come back with an education and can try again next year.
So Desi me and Cuz Kathy will be on our way.

Wow, the pink house on your profile picture looks like the ones on my street here on Siesta Key!!!! The winters are splendid here. If you get up to Sarasota my hubby is a realtor. Been having so many problems with DS. Not getting any emails or alerts, it's like I don't exist anymore. Not getting hugs but if I log on I do get messages!!!!!
