About Me
Looking forward to a wonderful 2009. The one constant I know for sure, "nothing stays the same." ~ Two years cigarette free ~ with the help of DS and friends, and the Grace of God. Also, I pray for the willingness to lose the additional weight I have gained for better health so I can enjoy this wonderful life I have been given.
Interests
Reading, travel learning from meeting and talking with new people. Love family, animals, specifically, 'Desi, ' my Love, a 6 lb Chion who has stolen my heart away. I listen to music, talk shows, enjoy books, movies and theater. Always looking for bargains and thrift shops. I collect vintage and retro kitchen stuff, in cherry and apple red colors. I also repair and rescue many different kinds of old rag dolls. Happy raising African Violets, and so far, they seem to like me too.

- Wow so glad for taking it light - its getting pretty intense over at Smoking Addiction - The proselytizer can really get to me - If I see the word treatment one more time I am getting Nurse Ratchetts' cap out. I peed my pants laughing about the 'funeral for the cigs' - My Irish sense of humor - well we love wakes and what a better way to get rid of the evil white cylinders - but to wake em, burn or bury and be gone. Close Food Addiction
Hi: - I have stopped smoking - gained 50 lbs. Member of OA for many years. Had experimental lap-band 25 years ago. I need help with my compulsive overeating. I am retired now and need/give support. Thanks Ree.

- Overeaters Anonymous (OA) Working / Worked
- I have tried other Programs - but go back to my friends from OA always. A little judgemental.
- Gastric Bypass Surgery Not Working
- Procedure done in early 1980s gept weight off for about 810 years. Vomiting weak Bdeficient bad slipped. Fearful for the full bypass.
Open Bereavement
My Mother just passed away recently. I am feeling all sorts of things love, guilt, sadness. I took care of her since my Dad passed seven years ago. My life has been on hold since. I recently retired and am taking care of myself now.

Open Obesity
I have had a weight problem for most of my life. Up and down lost the most w/OA and WLS. stopped smoking and am at my highest weight now. Trying to get my health back.

- Gastric Bypass Surgery Working / Worked
- Early 1980's I was a test case w/lap band surgery. My doctor passed away, too afraid to go further along this route. No band around my brain. I am not judgemental but for me this is not an option anymore.
- Overeaters Anonymous (OA) Working / Worked
- For me, this is what saved my life. The real deal, 3-fold program. physical, mental, spirtual growth.
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- Walking and Swimming and aquacize works, easy on the joints.
- Slim-Fast Working / Worked
- Good healty treat jam packed w/vitamins better than a candy bar for a treat.
- Swimming Working / Worked
- Yes water boyency helps to do twice as much exercise. Recommend
- Topamax Considering
- Heard it was a dirty drug. Been the diet pill route when young - they do not work for long term weight loss.
- Weight Watchers Working / Worked
- A livable total living healthy eating plan
