Close Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed in November of 2006, but was told that I have had this disease ever since I first saw my rheumatologist 2 1/2 years ago. My problems started right after my hysterectomy which happened 2 weeks before my 31st birthday. I also suffer from psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. The fibromyalgia by far bothers me worse than anything and makes it difficult sometimes to just get through the day.
Treatments
- Ambien Working / Worked
- Definitely helps with my sleep problems
- Hormone Replacement Therapy Working / Worked
- I think it helps.
- Synthroid Working / Worked
- Works for my hypothyroidism
Close Psoriasis
Affected Areas: Psoriasis of the SkinI developed psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis almost 3 years ago. I don't know if there is a connection, but the psoriasis started on my scalp while I was in the hospital recovering from a hysterectomy that ended up being an extremely major surgery. Two weeks later the arthritis kicked in. I have tried several treatments, but have had to stop them just as they seem to start working due to infections. I am still desperately trying to find something that works that I can stick with.
Treatments
- Coal Tar Somewhat Helpful
- It helped a little - once I could get past the smell. It was more helpful in briefly soothing the itch to some extent, but not much in the way of clearing it.
- Enbrel Somewhat Helpful
- It had just started to show signs of helping when I had to be taken off of it due to infection.
- Hydrocortisone Somewhat Helpful
- Helped somewhat. It was really hard to keep up with since I had to apply so many times a day and my rash is widespread.
- Massage Working / Worked
- It defintely helped to relax for a little while at least.
- Remicade Working / Worked
- After 3 infusions, it started working. I got extremely sick, though with mono, and had to stop treatment.
- Humira Working / Worked
- Started working after just 2 injections. Once again, it had to be stopped due to infection.
Open Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML)
Hi, my name is Stacy and I have not been diagnosed with AML yet, but the Dr.s are saying it is almost definite. I just have unanswered questions.
