ERNIE WAS A MINI LONG HAIRED DOXIE THAT I RESCUED MANY YEARS AGO FROM A PUPPY MILL ALONG WITH HIS SON BERT. ERNIE HAD CANCER IN HIS MOUTH THAT HAD SPREAD ALL THE WAY DOWN THE INSIDE OF HIS NOSE. THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, IT WAS SO BAD AND WIDESPREAD. IT'S JUST SUCH A HARD CHOICE TO MAKE, BUT IT HAD TO BE DONE....HE WAS IN PAIN. THE CAT WAS BIGGER THEN HIM....I;LL ALWAYS HAVE A PHOTO IN MY MIND OF HIM RUNING ALONG, 1/2 INCH FROM THE FLOOR, EARS FLOPPING AND A GRIN ON HIS FACE. GOODBYE ERNIE, I LOVED YOU SO MUCH.

It won't be much comfort but you can at least rest-assured Ernie isn't suffering any more. Mourning is a horrible thing to have to go through and my heart-felt sympathy goes out to you. Take care.

The problem with watching your pet suffer with cancer or any disability, is feeling helpless to heal them! Our pets can't talk, or make their needs known, we have to figure this stuff out for them.
It's a blessing that Ernie is no longer suffering, and in no more pain. Although he will be missed desperately by you Lisa....it was the right choice to make.
Gentle, loving hugs to you.....and to Ernie, another loving, twinkling star in the sky....

owe poor ernie and poor you.its so heartbreaking when you loose a much loved pet,especially when you have to make that final decission.you did the right thing and ernie i am sure would thankyou for that.keep ya chin up my love.thinking of you and sending you much love,anthea x
